Dr. Jessica April Ward-Schleifer is a multi-disciplinary architectural designer (ARE Candidate), published urban planning scholar, educator, and housing systems consultant specializing in climate resilience, regenerative design, and disaster recovery housing.

Our work explores how architecture and design can support cultural continuity while adapting to contemporary environmental, infrastructural, and performance challenges. Rather than imposing unfamiliar forms disconnected from local identity, my projects aim to respect the existing cultural and spatial language of place while integrating improvements in resilience, energy performance, environmental systems, durability, and quality of life. I’m interested in how design can evolve communities without erasing the cultural memory embedded within them.
